Ruth’s journey in real estate began before her children were born, and she stepped away in 1981 to raise her family. When she returned to the industry in 2007, it was after working in the corporate world for a portion of the time, and this time she had a renewed perspective. “I came to a place where I wanted to enter back into real estate because I enjoy having my own business and having more flexibility than an 8-5,” Ruth explains. “I find a lot of joy in the variety of clients I work with, and I have the opportunity to meet some wonderful people.”

Anyone can miss something—there is so much being accomplished in a brief period of time with building a home. Riverside is happy to have another set of eyes to confirm all is working correctly. This is not always the case with some builders.”

Recently, Ruth helped a family—parents with two young boys—find their perfect fit with Riverside. “They wanted to be able to raise their kids in the country with some land while still having a lovely home,” she says. “Because of my previous experience with Riverside, I knew they could provide this experience for them.”

As someone who’s guided countless clients through new home tours, Ruth says that some moments never get old. “My favorite part is when my client walks in, and you can tell every room is meeting their expectations, and you see their excitement rise. Typically, the kitchen, the living room and the primary suite are the rooms that make the decision for most. For me it is a combination of all. The full package.”
