Even though the temperatures within the area might not seem like typical fall weather yet—the season has officially arrived, and with it comes an updated list of fall activities that you’ll definitely want to add to your busy schedules. At Riverside Homebuilders, we pride ourselves in building high-quality communities throughout the best neighborhoods that surround the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area—and no matter what time of year it is, you’ll always find plenty to do close to home that everyone is sure to enjoy.

Get in the spirit of the season

With pumpkin patches to peruse, fall festivals to explore and haunted houses to bravely make your way through—the autumn months are always filled with an abundance of activities that will help get you into the spirit of the season.

For an event that is always fun for the whole family, Autumn at the Arboretum: A Fall Fairytale is definitely one thing you won’t want to miss. Within the Dallas Arboretum you’ll be able to completely immerse yourself in the fairytales you love while you walk through images of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, The Sword in the Stone and One Thousand and One Nights.

Both Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze in Grapevine and Howell Family Farms in Arlington are some additional pumpkin patches that you’ll want to add to your list to visit this year. Enjoy the corn mazes, hop on a hayride and don’t forget to pick out your favorite pumpkin to take home and carve for the perfect Halloween decorations for your home.

If you’re looking for some additional activities that highlight the spooky side of the season, there are a number of haunted hot spots throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area that are definitely worth the visit. You truly won’t want to miss out on the chance to take part in Grapevine’s Night Watchman Ghost Tour. Each tour begins and ends at Grape Vine Springs Winery, and throughout the night, you’ll be led through different paranormal sightings that have happened in the city—both from the past and present day—for a truly spooky autumn evening.

Voted as the Best Haunted Attraction in the nation in 2021 by USA Today, the Cutting Edge Haunted House in Fort Worth is truly for the brave of heart. When a haunted house is located at a 100-year-old abandoned meat packing plant that is widely known throughout the area as “Hell’s Half Acre”—visitors are in for an evening of scares that won’t stop coming throughout the entire 55-minute multi-themed experience.

Embrace the season in your Riverside home

There is always something special about the natural scenery when the fall colors slowly make their way across the landscape, so when you’re ever in doubt on what to do on any given weekend this season—pack up the car and explore the beautiful area you get to call home.

“Just wanted to let you all know that the lending team referred to us by Kevin in Oak Ridge did a phenomenal job throughout the entire process.  The GMB-Walton team is who we were working with.  Donnie Walton had some not so enthusiastic phone calls from me and some hoops to jump through and he did it with professionalism and was so positive throughout this process.  Never has this been a wonderful process in our life it can be stressful and so personal beings they have our most personal information and details.  Please acknowledge them and their efforts.” Laura Johnson
