Congratulations to 2 of our August peak performers!
Congratulations to 2 of our August peak performers! All of our team members are exceptional and contribute to Riverside Homebuilders’ success. Still, we like to recognize the extra efforts among our sales pros. For the month of August, we’re celebrating Realtor Michelle Hilgendorf and Sales Manager Jim Steele.
Michelle Hilgendorf, August Realtor of the Month
Michelle Higendorf’s enthusiasm is infectious. She just loves real estate—and it shows. She’s also a people person and that’s very evident from the moment you meet her.
“I love people! And since I love real estate, it’s a win-win for me!” says Michelle, who leads The Hilgendorf Group of Fathom Realty. “Even when I have an occasional difficult person, it’s my goal to win them over.”
She focuses her seemingly endless energy on the Ponder area, where Michelle feels confident bringing her homebuyer clients to Midway Ridge, our growing community of single-family homes. She also ventures to Decatur and Gainesville to help her clients find the perfect place. She said her first experience with Riverside Homebuilders was selling a pre-existing resale home in Decatur. At the time, she didn’t even know it was a Riverside home.
Michelle says her kinship with us has grown as a result of the quality of the homes along with the personal customer service.
“I work a lot with new construction and the quality of the homes is hands down one of the best features of working with Riverside Homebuilders. My clients get a fantastic home that is energy-efficient and very classic-modern. Many things that other builders consider upgrades are standard with Riverside!”
So, what sets Michelle apart from other real estate agents?
“I like selling ‘Texas’, of course, but also my community. I try to put together a list of some places to worship, eat, shop, and see, so they can start to feel an excitement before the big move. Hopefully, I can just take off a little of the stress and anxiety.”
With so much passion focused on her work (although she insists it doesn’t feel that way), what does Michelle do for fun? Well, with all the beautiful homes she sees almost daily, she’s inspired to get creative with her own home. She’s also an avid baseball fan and is becoming intrigued with hockey.
We’re just glad she’s part of OUR team!
Jim Steele, August Sales Rep of the Month
Jim has been a part of the Riverside Homebuilders’ family since 2013, after a long career in sales—from building materials to boats and then new homes. He says meeting the people here is what convinced him to make the move.
“I liked every person I met!” And it kept getting better. “Ever have a job you actually were excited to go to work for? I do!”
Recently, part of his “job” was spreading rose petals on the floor of a new home. The about-to-be-owners were coming for their final walk-through the next day. It was a young couple, and the man told Jim he wanted to propose to his girlfriend there. Jim helped set the stage for the event and when the time came, luckily, she said, “YES!”
Jim’s sales efforts are focused on 5 of our communities in and around Fort Worth: Las Ventanas (Fort Worth), Sendero, (Sanger), Midway Ridge (Ponder) our inner city homes, and Riverside Homebuilders’ new phase at Silverstone at Pearson Ranch (Weatherford).
The best part of Jim’s job is handing over the keys to a finished home. The joy in the homebuyer’s face is a reward after every, single closing.
“There’s no such thing as a perfect home,” Jim says, listing off price, features, finishes, and customer experience. “But, man, we sure come close!”
See for yourself! Take a look at the floor plans we offer and move-in ready homes for sale in Fort Worth and beyond. Then get in touch with Rachel to sort through your choices and discover why Michelle and Jim enjoy selling our homes so much.

Hear From Our
Happy Homeowners
I would like to express my gratitude to Finnye Shipley and Jimmy Logan for their service during my homebuying experience. I am a first time homebuyer and they took great care of us. Their responsiveness and attention to detail is unmatched. They have continued to go above and beyond making us feel part of the community. They have been very helpful in some of the items needing attention after moving in. From the time that Jimmy showed us the house, I knew where we would be spending the next several years. I see Jimmy work late driving the neighborhood almost every day even there are only a handful of homes still for sale in the neighborhood.
I did not score a perfect scorecard on the survey, only because there were a few things that I am working on resolving with the home build. Sergio with the warranty department has been instrumental in fixing things that were needed.
Overall I am greatly satisfied with purchasing a Riverside home and look forward to working with you in the future. I hope this email will serve as a gold-star reflection of Finnye, Jimmy and Sergio. Their dedicated service should not go unnoticed.
